The National Pork Board will be sponsoring and attending Feast Portland presented by Bon Appétit Magazine in Portland, OR from September 18 – 21, 2014. The event is a celebration of Oregon’s bounty showcasing local culinary talent and Pacific Northwest ingredients alongside internationally recognized chefs, culinary professionals and industry leaders. The festival with a mission, donates its net proceeds towards ending childhood hunger in Oregon and around the country through Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon and Share Our Strength.
As a Silver Sponsor, the Pork Board will be donating product to the festival for use by chefs in the tasting tent, and hosting the Industry Opening After Party event on September 18. The event will feature pork bites prepared by Chefs Adam Sappington, Executive Chef/Owner of The Country Cat Dinner House & Bar in Portland; Jason Alley, Executive Chef/Co-Owner of Comfort and Pasture restaurants in Richmond, VA; Justin Brunson, Executive Chef/Owner of Old Major in Denver, CO; Chad Colby, Chef of chi SPACCA in Los Angeles, CA; and Brad Farmerie, of Public and Saxon + Parole in New York, NY, and The Thomas in Napa, CA.
